A THESIS + A CYBERMAG

The reality is that I am doing too much.

So, in order to simplify, rather than making this a more formal publication, I am launching this as a blog-style cybermag. The differentiation being that the posts will be listed as they come (versus in curated, copy-edited, groupings), and include both the formal and informal - words with bibliographies and footnotes, and ramblings and reflections. These posts and shares will include a variety of writings of my own and others, video and written conversations with artists and intellectuals (really just people who know their shit), and many many resources for learning about gender, race, media, art, healing oppression, and creative practices.

It’s the first place, besides my instagram stories, where I will informally (and formally) be sharing and housing the many outlets of the theoretical, conversational, somatic, artistic, and lived research I am conducting in my day-to-day life. So much of how I move through each day is entwined with a variety of disciplines and types-of-learning and creating.

Here I will share:

  • reflections on exhibits, artworks, articles, memes, tiktoks, and books and whatever else strikes my fancy

  • book club meet-ups and key points from these group conversations

  • recorded dialogues with a variety of artists and thinkers related to or adjacent to my research

  • articles/poems friends and I write in the course of this research

  • IRL events and gatherings held as extensions of this work hosted by myself and others at Peach Studio

  • my MA thesis and future dissertation work

Methodologies: Queer Theory, Trans Theory, Media Theory, Phenomenological Theory, Creative Practice, Psychoanalysis, and Decolonial Theory

Boundaries Blur. For me its hard to not see everything as intrinsically connected and deeply entangled.
